Reverend Sue Levitt
I started my academic training as a Methodist Minister in 2007 and went to Chester and Delamere Forest Circuit in 2009. However, I feel my whole life has been training for what God has called me to do.
I have been within the Methodist Church since birth, on cradle role, through Sunday School, MAYC, Meth Soc, Womens’ Fellowship, Network, World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women etc. etc.
I see my calling very much in terms of Worship, Preaching and Pastoral Care, helping people of all ages to know God and his love in their lives.
Before putting a dog collar on I was chaplain for Methodist Homes for many years working first in Chester at Callin Court and then in Ellesmere Port, at and Mayfields, a specialist dementia care home.
I also love working with young people and their families finding new ways to share the gospel message through being alongside them and through activities such as toddler groups, Messy Church, and 3 Generate.
I am married to Peter, who has just retired from Methodist Ministry… in Methodist parlance he has become a supernumerary.. or ‘sat down’! We have 3 children spread around the country, 2 of whom are married and given us the blessing of 2 lovely granddaughters! So on my days off I like nothing more than spending time with them, enjoying seeing the wonders of creation through their eyes. I also enjoy singing, relaxing in the swimming pool, and in quieter moments reading or knitting.
I look forward to my time in this Circuit, getting to know people, learning together, joining together in sharing the Good News of God’s Love and Care in different ways.
