Reverend Denise Willamson
I am a part-
I work and live part time in each of the manse in Kidderminster and the family home in Shrewsbury. My husband, eldest two sons and dog Tilly will continue to live in the family home, whilst my youngest son and I will make another home in the Manse in Kidderminster. Simon and the rest of the family will make frequent visits to Kidderminster.
I originally come from Coventry then moved to Leeds for University and then to Hull after my marriage to Simon. We moved to Shrewsbury in 1986 and have been very happy there. I was encouraged to think about becoming a Local Preacher by my Minister then, Rev. Phil Hoar. After having three children and training for 5 years, I became a fully Accredited Local Preacher in 1995.
I am a very keen ecumenist and have been involved for many years in Churches Together.
I’m a very practical person and like rolling my sleeves up and helping out with whatever needs doing. As well as singing, laughing and talking, I enjoy gardening, reading, craft activities and furnishing a special Dolls House that Simon made for me. I also like trying out new things and enjoy a challenge. I have now passed my driving test and in 2010 I learned to ride a bike for the first time.
